As students enrolled in the Elementary Summer Enrichment Program were learning about the Olympics and countries around the globe under the tutelage of their teachers, News 12 Long Island came to the O'Neill Elementary School to chronicle the exciting celebrations.
Appearing in the News 12 coverage are students in Ms. Prince and Ms. Campbell's class as they sang 'This Little Light of Mine', along with on~air interviews. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sharon A. Dungee congratulates program principal Ms. Tracy Rentz and the teaching and support staff for their exemplary implementation of the program, students and their families for their participation, Funded Programs Administrator Ms. Christina Guastella for securing funding for the series of initiatives in the Elementary Enrichment Summer Program, and the Board of Education for supporting and recognizing the merits of the program.
