Message from the Board of Education - Summer 2024

On behalf of the Board of Education, I want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to continue serving our school community as, together, we work to provide the very finest education for our children. Whether you have children attending school, or your children have graduated, or perhaps you are a senior citizen or are new to our community, thank you for supporting the 2024-2025 budget. 

Congratulations to our parents and guardians whose children have graduated high school, moved up to middle school or were promoted to the next grade. The most rewarding part of serving you as president of the Board of Education is to see our children receive their high school diplomas or enjoying moving-up ceremonies. These events mark the many achievements of your children and serve as milestones in their scholastic careers. 

Last school year passed us by so quickly, and summer vacation is finally here. Take time with your family and friends to enjoy summer vacation doing what you enjoy. Also, children should be encouraged to set aside a little quiet time each day for reading or any activity that stimulates the mind. Above all, enjoy a safe and happy summer. 

I want to leave you with this thought-provoking quote from former First Lady Michelle Obama: “One of the lessons that I grew up with was to always stay true to yourself and never let what somebody else says distract you from your goals.”
