Congratulations to Mr. Claude Corbette III for being this week's featured honoree in the Musketeer Monday spotlight!
Mr. Corbette, a Senior Accounting Clerk, plays a pivotal role in the Business Office, where his responsibilities span a wide range of financial operations. While being recognized for his contributions, Mr. Corbette is quick to attribute much of the department's success to his colleagues, including the School Business Administrator, Accountants, and the outstanding team in the Accounting Department.
Mr. Corbette's diverse responsibilities include collaborating with internal and external auditors on all aspects of the District's financial operations. He is a key participant in the daily functions of the Business Office, which include payroll, benefits, accounts payable, grant expenditure monitoring, filing final expenditure reports, and managing the School District's portal access.
A recipient of the prestigious SCOPE Award for exemplary service, Mr. Corbette emphasizes the value of teamwork and shares his thoughts on the most fulfilling aspects of his role:
“The most rewarding aspects of my duties are that I work with a great team of people in every department of our School District each and every day. It has been a pleasure working with them during my 22 years in the Central Islip School District,” Mr. Corbette shared.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sharon A. Dungee praised Mr. Corbette’s dedication and professionalism:
“Mr. Corbette is conscientious in the manner in which he executes his duties and responsibilities. He is esteemed by his peers and is an asset to the Central Islip School District. Mr. Corbette’s tireless dedication to ensuring that the needs of both faculty and staff are consistently met is truly commendable. His unwavering commitment extends well beyond regular working hours, as he frequently goes above and beyond to support the Central Islip community. We are deeply grateful for his exceptional dedication and steadfast commitment, which significantly contributes to the success and well-being of our District.”
Outside of work, Mr. Corbette is an avid sports fan, particularly of the Knicks, Mets, and Jets. He enjoys spending as much of his free time as possible attending games.
