Musketeer Monday Part Two: Maria Elena Lorandini

Meet Central Islip High School (CIHS) Assistant Principal, Mrs. Maria Elena Lorandini, as she is featured in this week's Musketeer Monday spotlight.

Mrs. Lorandini joined the Central Islip School District in August 2022 as an Assistant Principal at Ralph G. Reed Middle School before attaining her current role at CIHS.

In her administrative role at Central Islip High School, Mrs. Lorandini takes on numerous responsibilities, which she summarizes: "As Assistant Principal, my role is to ensure a safe and supportive environment for both staff and students. I strive to motivate and inspire everyone to be the best version of themselves while leading with integrity and dedication."

Setting a platinum standard of professionalism, Mrs. Lorandini’s keen attention to detail is matched by her dedication, commitment, and compassion for those around her. The rewards of her job are deeply fulfilling, as she explains: "The most rewarding aspect of my job is making a difference in students' lives—guiding them toward their future, whether it be college, career readiness, or overcoming challenges. Seeing their growth and knowing I've contributed to their success is incredibly fulfilling. I also love supporting staff members, ensuring they feel appreciated and empowered in their roles."

Mrs. Lorandini proudly shares a glimpse into her family life and personal interests: "I am blessed with my wonderful family. My husband, Daniel, and I have three amazing children—Valentina, Elijah, and Leonardo—who bring so much joy and excitement to our lives."

In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, whether going on outdoor adventures or simply relaxing together. Her interests? "I enjoy reading, cooking, working out, and of course... shopping!"
