Principal’s Message

Mr. Timothy Lynam

Dear Mulligan Families,

March is shaping up to be an exciting and event-filled month at our school! As we transition toward spring, we look forward to continued growth, learning, and community engagement.

Pick a Reading Partner (PARP) Week – March 2–6
The week of March 2 marks our annual Pick a Reading Partner (PARP) celebration! This year’s theme is “Reading Takes You on an Adventure.” We are especially excited to welcome guest readers into our classrooms on Tuesday, March 3 to share their love of reading with our students.

Throughout the entire month of March, students are encouraged to read regularly and collect seals on their reading passports. Students who participate will be eligible for our weekly raffles. We can’t wait to see all the reading adventures our students embark on!

Student of the Trimester Awards – Wednesday, March 11
We look forward to recognizing our students’ hard work, character, and accomplishments at our Student of the Trimester ceremony.

Half Day for Students – Friday, March 20
Students will be dismissed early on Friday, March 20. Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held in the afternoon. We value this time to connect with families and discuss student progress.  Please coordinate the appointment with your child’s teacher.

Let’s Read S’More – PARP Event – March 26
Join us for a special PARP celebration event on March 26 in the evening. More details will be shared soon—we hope to see many of you there!

NYSESLAT Parent Information Night – Tuesday, March 31
Families of English Language Learners are invited to attend our NYSESLAT Parent Information Night to learn more about the assessment and how to support your child.

As we move through these final weeks of winter, please ensure students are dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. Fresh air and active play are important parts of the school day, and students will go outside whenever weather permits.

Additionally, we kindly remind families not to drop students off too early. Staff members are not available to supervise children prior to arrival time. The recommended drop-off time is 9:00 a.m. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep all students safe.

March is sure to be a month full of learning and celebration. Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
