As we continue our programs and work together to support the growth and education of our students, I wanted to share a few important updates and upcoming events.

1. Outdoor Recess: Please make sure your child dresses appropriately for outdoor recess, as the weather can be chilly. Layering up with jackets, hats, gloves, and scarves will help ensure they stay comfortable and safe while enjoying their time outside. We try to let the students enjoy outdoor recess whenever possible.
2. Mark Your Calendars: We have some exciting events coming up in March, and we encourage you to get them on your calendar! Details will be sent home

2. • PTA Family Night: On Tuesday, March 4, we will be hosting our Pizza and Paint Night. It’s a wonderful event for students to enjoy an evening painting and food.
   • Shrek the Musical: On Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8, the Central Islip Senior High School presents Shrek the Musical in the high school auditorium starring one of our third grades students.
   • The Magic of Reading Assembly: On Monday, March 10, we will host an assembly featuring  Dave Moreland, “The Great & Powerful Dave.”
   • Student of the Trimester Awards:  On Tuesday, March 11, we will host the Student of the Trimester Awards in the cafeteria.
   • Spring Pictures: On Tuesday and Wednesday, March 25 and March 26, we will host our annual spring pictures for students.
   • NYSESLAT Information Night: On Tuesday, March 25, we will host an information night for ENL and Bilingual students at 6:30pm.
   • PARP Week: We will host PARP week from Monday, March 24 to Friday, March 28.  

3. April Recess: Please remember that April Recess will take place from Monday, April 14 to Tuesday, April 22. We hope this break provides our students with a well-deserved rest!
